Welcome to Ultra's Admission Procedure

1. Regular Admission

The students seeking admission to the first semester of the eight semesters B.E./B.Tech.Degree Programme shall require satisfying eligibility rules as prescribed by the University and the Government of Tamil Nadu from time to time.


2. Lateral Entry Admission

The students who possess the Diploma in Engineering/Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent are eligible to apply for Lateral entry admission to the third semester of B.E./B.Tech. degree programme and required to satisfy the conditions of admissions there to prescribed by the University and the Government of Tamil Nadu..

The candidates who possess the Degree in Science(B.Sc.,) (10+2+3 stream) with Mathematics as a subject at the B.Sc Level are eligible to apply for Lateral entry admission to the third semester of B.E./B.Tech. Such candidates shall undergo two additional Engineering subject(s) in the third and fourth semesters as prescribed by the respective Board of Studies(BoS).

Government Quota Course Eligibility

Academic

(Maths / 2) + (Physics + Chemistry / 4) = Cuttoff Example: (Maths – 75, Physics – 80 & Chemistry – 90) (75 / 2) + (80+90 / 4) = (37.5 + 42.5)= 80

Vocational

(Maths / 2) + (Theory + Practical I + Practical II / 6)= Cuttoff Example: (Maths – 75, Theory – 90, Practical I – 100&Practical II – 100) (75 /2) + (90+100+100 / 6) = (37.5 + 48.33) = 85.83

 

Management Quota Course Eligibility

Academic

(Maths + Physics + Chemistry) / 6 = Course Eligibility Example: (Maths – 75, Physics – 80 & Chemistry – 90) (75 + 80 + 90)/6 = 40.83

Vocational

(Maths) + (Theory + Practical I + Practical II) / 8 =Course Eligibility Example:(Maths – 75, Theory – 90, Practical I – 100 & Practical II – 100) (75 + 90 + 100 + 100)/ 8 = 365/8 = 45.62

Important Notes

  • Rounding off of minimum eligibility marks is not permitted and the candidate should have obtained the minimum prescribe marks.
  • Other than Tamil Nadu students, their caste categories will be treated as “OC”.
  • Eligibility of marks will be considered only as per community certificate provided by the student.
  • SC, ST Students Should Provide their Income & Nativity Certificate.
  • Tamilnadu students who studied in other state should be provide Nativity Certificate.
